Lois J. Forinash, 79, passed away Saturday, June 1, 2024, in Clarksburg. She was born in Fairmont on July 12, 1944, a daughter of the late Charles William Tarleton and Martha Ellen (Rice) Tarleton.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Gordon Ewing Forinash, Jr., on March 11, 2024.
She is survived by her son, Chris May; her granddaughter, Maria Powers; two great-grandchildren, Sophia and Noah, all of Clarksburg; her sister, Madonna Roach of Lost Creek; her nephew, Adam Roach and his wife Candace, of Fairmont, a great-niece, Katelynn and a great-nephew, Barret.
In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by a sister, Sue Ellen Tennant, and a brother, Scott E. Tarleton.
Lois was a graduate of Morgantown High School. She retired from Verizon as an engineering assistant with over 20 years of service. She had enjoyed camping, build-a-bears, going to Disney World, and was a representative for Longaberger Baskets. She had attended Clarksburg Baptist Church and loved her cats, Buddy, Blue and Miss Kitty.
Friends will be received at Burnside Funeral Home, 607 S. Virginia Avenue, Bridgeport, on Saturday, June 8, 2024, from 10 a.m. – 12 Noon, where services will be held at 12 Noon with Reverend Phil Wayman presiding. Interment will follow in Floral Hills Memorial Gardens.
