Lois Elia Garvin age 83 of Joppa, Maryland. Passed away peacefully on August 10, 2025. She was surrounded by her loving family members.
Born on March 18th 1942 in Baltimore Maryland. Lois was the heart of her family. She will be remembered for her compassion, nurturing spirit, sense of humor, vibrant personality & unwavering determination.
A devoted mother, Lois was also a proud grandmother & great-grandmother. She cherished time spent with her family & friends, finding joy in cooking from scratch & experimenting with new recipes. Her kitchen was a place of warmth, laughter & love.
Beyond being a mother, Lois enjoyed seeing the happiness of those she loved & spent her career as a travel agent getting to know people from all walks of life. She embraced life to the fullest, with a passion for travel & an appreciation for art & food from around the world. As well as music & dancing, especially Elvis.
Lois is survived by her sister, Verna Lee. Her husband Rudolph of 62 years. Their children Tammie & Dean. Her grandchildren Jerry, Amanda & Anthony. Along with her great-grand children Hunter, Giovanni & Isabella.
A private viewing will be held Friday August 15th followed by a public graveside service at 11:30AM. For those who would like to attend the service it will be held at Meadowridge Memorial Park, 7250 Washington Blvd. Elkridge, Maryland 21075.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to The American Lung Association, www.lung.org
