Lois Jean Goebbert, 88, a resident of Arlington Heights passed away peacefully on September 18, 2025.

Lois was born on December 5, 1936, the daughter of Fred and Edna Redeker in Schaumburg, IL. Lois lived a life filled with love, kindness, and generosity. She graduated from Palatine Highschool in 1954. On April 7, 1956 she married Arnold Goebbert at St. Peter Lutheran Church in Schaumburg, and together they built a family rooted in faith, hard work, and devotion.

Lois worked alongside her husband at the family business for many years until 2003 while raising her 3 children.

Lois was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, aunt and friend who will be missed by all who knew her.

Beloved wife of the late Arnold. Loving mother of Denise (Michael) Obenauf, Brian (Christine) Goebbert and April (Michael) Felch. Proud grandmother of Keith and Joel Felch. Dear sister of Frederick (Jeanette) Redeker and Glen (Elizabeth) Redeker. Sister-in-law of Elwood (Carol) Goebbert. Fond aunt to many. Known as aunt LoLo.

Lois was preceded in death by her parents, Fred and Edna Redeker, sister Arlene (Kent) Chidley, father-in-law Otto Goebbert, mother-in-law Lydia Goebbert, brothers-in-law Donald Guenther and Kent Chidley, sisters-in-law Velira Guenther and Sally Redeker,.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in Lois' name to the American Diabetes Association or the Alzheimers Foundation of America

Visitation Thursday, September 25, 2025, from 4-7 PM at Smith-Corcoran Funeral Home, 185 E. Northwest Hwy., Palatine. Family and friends will meet Friday, September 26, at Prince of Peace Lutheran Church, 1190 N. Hicks Road, Palatine for visitation from 10 AM until time of funeral service at 11 AM. Interment Memory Gardens Cemetery, Arlington Heights. For info, 847-359-8020.
