Lois Hootman Obituary

1929-2025
Lois Lovetta Hootman was born June 10, 1929 to Elton and Maude Mayse in Plattsburg, MO. There she was raised with twin sister, Doris, and brothers Elton Jr., Frank and Bobby.
On June 19, 1949 she was united in marriage to Lynn Hootman. They were married 59 years. Lynn and Lois made their home on the family farm near Mirabile, MO. There they raised son Ronnie and daughter Cheryl.
Lois enjoyed quilting, embroidery and reading. But her favorite time was spent with family and she always made sure they got lots of hugs!
She was preceded in death by parents, husband Lynn, son Ronnie, son in law Bobby (Dee) and siblings.
Lois is survived by daughter Cheryl Weisgerber and partner Joe Wardrip of Gladstone, MO; 7 grandchildren; 15 great grandchildren; 3 great-great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Village Green Apartments
Services will be 1:00 PM, Thursday, November 20, 2025 at Poland-Thompson Chapel, Cameron, MO. Burial following, Mirabile Cemetery, Mirabile, MO.
Arrangements under the direction of Poland-Thompson Funeral Home, Cameron, MO.
