Lois M. (Lidel) Kames, 85, of Spring Valley, passed away Wednesday, February 4, 2026 at OSF St. Elizabeth Medical Center, Peru after an extended illness.
Per Lois's wishes, there will be no services. Private burial will be in River Hills Memorial Park in Batavia at a later date.
Mrs. Kames was born November 2, 1940 in Chester, South Dakota to Herman and Edna (Randolph) Lidel. She married Ronald Kames on May 3, 1975.
Lois was a woman of strong faith. She always put family and loved ones first and touched many lives with her care and support. She enjoyed cake decorating, traveling, camping, gardening, sewing, reading, board games, puzzles, and bingo.
She is survived by a son, Kenneth Kames of Plano; three daughters, Pamela (Shawn) Haslam of Seatonville, Tammy (John) Westphall of St. Charles, and Kristina (Steve) Swanson of St. Charles; six grandchildren; thirteen great-grandchildren; one brother, Duane (Diana) Lidel of St. Charles; and a sister, Marilyn (DeWayne) Laws of Forrest City, AR.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; and one brother, Darwin Lidel.
