Lois L. McCaslin King, 80, of Mt. Pleasant, Kentucky passed away Monday, July 7, 2025, surrounded by her family at her home. She was born on March 10, 1945, in Horse Branch, Kentucky to the late Elmer McCaslin and Rosie Carmickle McCaslin. Lois was a homemaker and lifelong caretaker of Mt. Pleasant Cemetery.

Aside from her parents she was preceded in death by her husband of forty-seven years, Bobby King and two sisters, Corine Stewart and Chloe "Tootsie" Geary.

She leaves behind to cherish her memory, three children, Deborah (Anthony) Goff of Mt. Pleasant, Robert King of Mt. Pleasant and Sondra (Christopher) Matthews of McHenry; three grandchildren, Megan (Brad) Hall, Makali (Bryer) Cardwell and Lauren Matthews; two great grandchildren, Bobby Lee Goff and Bryson Dale Hall; two brothers, Lawrence "Bud" McCaslin of Hartford and Ronald McCaslin of Horse Branch as well as several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held at 1 PM Friday, July 11, 2025 at William L. Danks Funeral Home in Beaver Dam, Kentucky with Rev. Anthony Goff officiating. Burial will follow in Mt. Pleasant Cemetery. Friends may visit with the family from 5 PM until 8 PM Thursday and 9 AM until the time of the service Friday at the funeral home.

The family requests expressions of sympathy take the form of donations to Mt. Pleasant Cemetery, c/o Deborah Goff, 1342 Mt. Pleasant Road, Cromwell, KY 42333 or Venmo @Deborah-Goff-16. They would also like to say a special thank you to Dr. Phelps, Dr. Akers, Ohio County Hospice and Palliative Care and home health nurses, Maura and Anne as well as their special friend, Stacy Kyle.
