Lois A. (Pandolfi) Maracle
It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of our wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend Lois Ann (Pandolfi) Maracle, age 75, on August 9th 2025 surrounded by family, at the Robert Packer Hospital in Sayre, PA following a brief illness.
Born December 17th 1949 in Passaic, New Jersey to Louis Angelo from whom she received her name, and Margaret (Gould) Pandolfi. Lois grew up in Nutley, New Jersey where she graduated from Nutley High School in 1968. There she met the father of her children, Joseph Zingeser. In 1975, they moved to Pennsylvania where they raised their family.
Lois met many friends over the years through her numerous occupations whether through her early years working at Rynveld's wreath factory (She could still make a beautiful handmade bow), Sayre Lingerie, Northern Central Bank, Guthrie Clinic, Tops, or Lowe's. Lois will be remembered as someone who was full of life, who had a great sense of humor, and was quick to smile, but no one would deny she had a feisty side when needed.
Lois was a loyal friend and adoptive "Mom" or "Grandma" to many. Her main source of pride was her family. She loved them fiercely and was always there when they needed her. She loved spending time at Alliger's with her husband Dane, or cuddling at home with her dog Maggie while watching her beloved Yankees. Her favorite activity was spending time with her children, grandchildren, and great-grandson. She could routinely be found at basketball, football, baseball games, and WNYOA races cheering on her grandkids whom she loved deeply, and she absolutely adored being a great-grandma or "Gi-Gi".
She was predeceased by her parents, as well as numerous brothers and sisters-in-law. including Sam, Joe, Wayne, Bonnie, and Donna.
She is survived by her husband of 24 years, Dane Maracle. Her daughter Dawn (Donald "Knuck") McCutcheon, son Kevin (Fiancé Melissa Sampson) Zingeser, and bonus daughter Danielle Maracle. She was Grandma/Mema to Lauren (John), Alexa (Alex), Logan (Emma), Blake, Bane and Kyah. She was Gi-Gi to Jax. She was a cherished sister of Kathleen "Kathie" Battaglia, and Diane "Dee" Malanga, beloved Aunt to numerous nieces and nephews and a treasured cousin.
There will be a celebration to honor Lois's life on August 23rd at 3 P.M. at J.E. Wheelock's Fire Department located at 217 Frank Street, Sayre PA. Optional- If you'd like to, please wear Navy and White or Yankees gear to honor Lois's love of her favorite team.
