Lois Olive Minsch

Lois Wehrly Minsch, 98, of Buda Texas passed quietly away Sept 6, 2021, at St. David's hospital in Round Rock Texas. Born at home in 1923 in Snyder, Colorado to Jesse and Blanche Wehrly, she was the third of seven children. Lois attended a one room schoolhouse and graduated high school in Brush, Colorado. She continued her education and earned a teaching certificate. She later moved to Friday Harbor, Washington to teach where she was a flying teacher. There she met her beloved husband Alan H. (Mickey) Minsch. They were married June 6, 1948, and had five children. In 1962 the family moved to Alaska and spent many years there till Alan retired and they began long journeys to and from Arizona. They moved to Washington and stayed until Alan passed away in 2010. Lois then moved to Oregon to be closer to her granddaughter and her children. She enjoyed shopping, visiting family, and having holidays with the girls. Lois then moved to Buda Texas in 2020 to be near the girls again.
She leaves behind her sons, Patrick (Josephine), Timothy (Sharon) and Kevin, and her daughter Kelli. She also leaves behind 13 grandchildren, 7 great grandchildren, 1 great-great grandchild and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, her son Michael, and her 6 siblings.

Soon Lois and Alan will make their final journey back to Alaska together.
