Ida L. Hernandez-Vasquez, beloved mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, passed away peacefully on November 7, 2025, at the age of 68 in Austin, Texas. Born on January 31, 1957, in Frentress, Texas, she lived a life filled with creativity, faith, and love for her family and community.

Ida shared her passion for arts and crafts, turning simple materials into beautiful expressions of joy. She had a flair for glamour, often enchanting those around her with her impeccable makeup, sparkling accessories, and vibrant outfits that reflected her lively spirit. Her love for all things that shimmered mirrored the brightness she brought into the lives of others. A devoted member of her church, Ida was actively involved in the children's ministry, where she found immense happiness in connecting with young hearts and encouraging them to embrace their faith. Her unwavering belief in the power of prayer extended beyond her immediate circle; she fervently prayed for strangers in need, offering them comfort through her compassionate spirit

.Ida was a proud mother to her daughter Melissa Hernandez and her son Michael S. Hernandez. Her heart was filled with joy as she doted on her grandson, Dominic M. Rivera, bringing sparkles of love and laughter into his life. Ida is survived by her loving spouse, Clifford Vasquez, and her devoted mother, Victoria Villalpando, along with her siblings: Sylvia Nunez, Betty Amaya, Don Adam Villalpando, John Paul Villalpando, and Richard Burr. She held dear the relationships she built with her family, including her son-in-law, Daniel Espinoza Jr., and her sisters-in-law, Dolores Ruiz and Debbie Villalpando, and brother-in-law, Ernest Vasquez.

Ida's vibrant spirit and deep faith will be remembered and cherished by all who knew her. A celebration of her life will be held in the coming days, where family and friends will gather to honor the remarkable woman, she was and to share memories that will keep her spirit alive forever.

Ida was preceded in death by: Monico D Villalpando, Sabas Amaya, Amalia Villalpando, Leo Nunez and Isidero C Hernandez, Jr.
