Lois Evelyn Tullos Odom was born in Apple Springs, Texas, to A.J. Tullos and Lilly Rogers Tullos and passed away peacefully on October 12, 2025, in Lufkin, Texas, surrounded by her loving family.
Lois was a lifelong resident of the Apple Springs community, where she lived a life defined by hard work, family, and faith. A graduate of Apple Springs High School, she went on to dedicate forty-six years of service to Plus Tex Poultry, which later became Pilgrim's Pride. Her strong work ethic, reliability, and kind spirit earned her the respect and friendship of countless coworkers over the years.
A devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, Lois found her greatest joy in her family. She especially loved watching her great-grandchildren play sports and was always their biggest fan from the sidelines. Lois delighted in cooking for her loved ones and hosting family gatherings filled with laughter and tasty food. She also enjoyed sitting on her front porch, quietly observing the beauty of nature around her home.
Lois was a faithful member of Apple Springs Baptist Church, where she attended for many years and found strength in her faith and fellowship with others.
She was preceded in death by her parents, A.J. and Lilly Tullos; her beloved husband of fifty-six years, Wayne Odom; sisters, Kathleen Elliott, Linda Jo Tullos, and Carolyn Due; brother, Roy Lynn Tullos; and grandson, Justin Hildebrand.
She is survived by her two loving daughters, Tonya Odom and Cheryl Hildebrand and husband, David; grandchildren, Tara Campbell and husband, Kyle; and great-grandchildren, Jaycee Hildebrand and mother, Sarah Harp, Cooper Campbell, and Hallie Hildebrand and mother, Katie Hildebrand. She is also survived by her special friend, Pam White; and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and many other relatives and friends who will dearly miss her.
The family will receive visitors for Lois Evelyn Tullos Odom on Tuesday, October 14, 2025, from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Groveton Funeral Home in Groveton, Texas. Funeral Services will be held on Wednesday, October 15, 2025, at 10:00 a.m. at Groveton Funeral Home with Pastor Michael Ray Due officiating. Interment will follow in Burketown Cemetery in Apple Springs, Texas.
Pallbearers: Greg Campbell, Kyle Campbell, Payton Pate, Larry Turner, Ted Eddins, and Larry Hildebrand.

Honorary Pallbearer: Cooper Campbell.

Lois will be remembered as a woman of quiet strength, unwavering faith, and endless love for her family. Her legacy lives on in the hearts of those who knew her, through the many meals shared, the laughter on her porch, and the lessons of kindness and devotion she leaves behind. Though she will be deeply missed, her memory will forever bring comfort and warmth to those she loved most.
