William Howard Odom, age 67 of Brenham, passed away on October 6, 2025, at home, surrounded by his family. He was born on Friday, December 13, 1957 in Brenham, TX at the Milroy Hospital to Willie Edward and Mary Jonell (Smith) Odom.

William (Little Bill) and his 4 older sisters were raised in Brenham. After earning his GED, he enlisted in the U.S. Army. His earliest working years were with Tonn Construction Co as a Heavy Equipment Operator and his latter as a Senior Operator at Blue Bell Creamery.

On July 5, 1997, he married Eva (Chervenka) Smith in Brenham. They became a blended family with 4 teenagers!

William had a passion for the outdoors and enjoyed shooting sports (including archery) and hunting. He also loved reloading, bird watching, and spending time in nature. In his leisure time, he enjoyed reading, watching movies, listening to music, and taking road trips, especially to Arkansas.

He had many hobbies, including photography, dining out, storytelling, paddling, backpacking with the Explorer Post, camping, attending family reunions and racing. He was also known for his enthusiasm for grilling and cooking outdoors.

William is survived by: his sons, Will Odom, Jr, Johnathan (wife Melissa) Smith, and Dustin Smith; daughter, Candice Odom; sister, Connie Sears; brother-in-law, John Lawrence Sr.; grandchildren, Zechariah Smith, Selah Smith, Ellah Smith, Amie Weaver, Jackson Dunn, Samantha Lamm & Ashley Zurrica. He also had numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives along with longtime friends, Ronnie Ladewig, Keith Gibson, Chuck & Sharon Babb and family; honorary family, Corey & Kristi Stegent, Brandy Lamm & Scott James and family; man's best friend, Rowdy Leroy Odom; along with church family and his Max Donuts family.

He was preceded in death by: his parents; sisters Barbara Merchant, Linda Hurst and Glenda (Sissy) Lawrence; niece, Karen Bertling and nephew, Wesley Bell.

A celebration of life will be held at 2:00 p.m., Saturday November 8 at Champion Fellowship Church, 1801 S Market St, Brenham.

Honorary pallbearers include Adam Whitehead, Ben Radcliff, Travis Semora, Dean Anderson, Jeremy Batson, Stephen Hohlt, Steve Hohlt, John Lawrence Sr., Roy Hegefeld and Guadalupe Martinez.

The family would like to thank their church family and Hospice Brazos Valley Staff and volunteers for their love and support during this time.

Memorial contributions may be made to Champion Fellowship Church or Hospice Brazos Valley.
