Lois E. Robinson, 83, entered into rest on Saturday, April 19, 2025.
Lois was born on December 5, 1941, in Fitzgerald, Georgia to the late Samuel B. New and Lillian Hutchinson New. A devoted wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and cherished friend, Lois’s greatest joy in life came from nurturing and caring for those she loved.
Her home was always full of warmth, laughter, and the irresistible aroma of her signature home-cooked meals. Lois had a special gift for bringing people together—whether it was for a holiday feast or a casual Sunday dinner, she made every home-cooked meal feel like a celebration.
Lois had a spirited side, too. She delighted in the excitement of casino trips, especially playing the slots, and she never passed up a good thrift box. In quieter moments, she found joy in reading and relaxing with a good book. Lois will be fondly remembered by all those who had the pleasure of knowing her.
In addition to her parents, Lois was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas E. Robinson and son, Michael T. Robinson.
Her memory will forever be treasured by her children, Cindy R. Avery (David) of Kathleen, Barbara A. Greer (Conley) of Dawsonville, Rhonda F. Krirat of Kathleen, Wanda K. Robinson of Kathleen, Sharon Maraman (Adam) of McDonough, and Mark Robinson (Gail) of Kathleen; and siblings, Tommy New and Guynell Bowman, along with 18 grandchildren and 22 great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held Thursday, April 24, 2025, from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at McCullough Funeral Home. A graveside funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, April 25, 2025, at Georgia Veterans Memorial Cemetery, where Lois will be laid to rest.
In lieu of flowers, the family respectfully suggests memorial donations be given in memory of Lois Robinson to St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital at 501 St. Jude’s Place, Memphis, TN 38105 or https://stjudge.org/donate/.
