Lois J. Powers Rogers, 93, of Erie, peacefully passed away Friday, August 22, 2025, surrounded by her family. She was born in Erie on July 22, 1932, the daughter of the late Harold and Margaret Dunker Powers.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Fred R. Rogers; her son, Alan Rogers; her grandson, Christopher Rogers; her twin sister Louise Green, her two sisters Loretta Roden, and Barbara Kuchenbrod; and her two brothers, James and Jack Powers.
Survivors include three sons, Gary Rogers, Darryl Rogers and wife Jennifer, Brian Rogers and wife Wendy; eight grandchildren; six great grandchildren; two sisters, Janet Lipinski and Lana Levitt; and many nieces and nephews.
Lois was an amazing homemaker, mother, grandmother, great grandmother and so much more. Her passions included NASCAR, visiting the casino, watching The Young and the Restless and lottery scratch offs. Family always came first to Lois. If you asked her, she would tell you they were her greatest love of all. In her 93years of life Lois affected so many people and she will be greatly missed by all who knew her.
Funeral services are private and at the convenience of the family. A Celebration of Life will be scheduled at a later date. Funeral arrangements were made by Russell C. Schmidt & Son Funeral Home Inc., 5000 Wattsburg Rd.
