She attended St. Boniface school. Evelyn worked as a Head Cashier at Loblaw's for 25 years.
Evelyn was a member of St. Boniface Catholic Church. She enjoyed bowling, golfing, playing cards, and scratching off lottery tickets.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband, Donald W. Rosthauser; her brothers, James, Francis, Bernard, and William Kellogg and her sisters, Marie Bachmaier and Ina Jane King.
She is survived by her husband, Ronald M. Hinkle; her sons, Jeffrey Rosthauser (Anne) of Waterford, Philip Rosthauser and Paul Rosthauser (Peggy), both of Erie; her step-children, Rusty Hinkle (Ben), Linda Toblewski (Mark), Tammy Wurst (Neal), and Kathy Bartell (Don); and numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.
Friends and family may call at the Russell C. Schmidt & Son Funeral Home, Inc., 5000 Wattsburg Rd., Erie, Pa 16504 on Friday from 4 pm to 7 pm and at St. Boniface Catholic Church on Saturday at 10:30 am until the time of Funeral Mass there at 11 am. Burial will follow in Mount of Olives Cemetery.
The family would also like to thank her well-thought-of caregiver, Chris Koszegi and Manchester Commons for their compassionate care.
Memorial contributions can be made to Barber Center at 1358 E. 12th St., Erie, Pa 16503.
