Vern was a cousin to my mother (Edna Minch Schaefer) on the (Schwindt side). Vern, Lois, Denise, and Debbie lived about a block away from us when we were young (Columbia and Mathews). My sister Debbie used to babysit Denise and Debbie and Denise's husband was my Mom's real estate agent back in 2011. My prayers and sympathies are with the entire family.

I always looked forward to seeing Lois for her biweekly visits to the salon for her wash and style. Her witty humor was a delight in my day as well as spending the time to make her style just right. She will be missed.
