Lois Jean (Hook) Schroeder, born on October 21, 1943, passed away on September 22, 2024, after a long battle with Alzheimer's.
Lois dedicated 30 years of her career as an instructional technician at Kingsley Montgomery School, where she touched the lives of many students with her hard-working and kind nature. She cherished her family above all, finding immense joy in her marriage to the late Ronald Schroeder and spending time with her children and many grandchildren.
Ron and Lois were together for 31 years and shared many adventures together. They enjoyed weekends up north with friends and family, trips to Florida, and participating in numerous car shows. The Woodward Dream Cruise and the Schroeder car party were highly anticipated annual events.
Lois is survived by her children Rick (Lisa) Davis, Sherry Dunne, Renee (Mike) Tenaglia, and Pam Schroeder. Lois was a proud grandmother to Amber (RJ), Autumn, Halie, Michael, Mark II, Chad, Samantha, Rhondalyn, and Kasee. She was also a great-grandmother to TJ, Tyler, Aidan, Ayvah, Averie, Hudson, Braileigh, and Trey as well as a great-great-grandmother to Annmaree, Troy, Addie, Braxton, Tyler, Finnley, and Oakley.
Lois is preceded in death by her parents Earl and Ruth Hook, brothers Richard, Ron, Earl, and Don, and loving husband, Ron.
In her leisure time, Lois found solace in crocheting, reading, and putting together puzzles. She was a devoted fan of country music, with a special fondness for the melodies of Loretta Lynn, Johnny Cash, and Patsy Cline.
Lois will be remembered for her warmth, dedication to her family, and the love she shared with all who knew her. Her legacy will continue through her beloved family and the many lives she influenced throughout her years.
Her family asks that any contributions be made to Kingsley Montgomery School.
