SCHWARTZ, Lois Eileen (nee Marchetti). October 17, 2025. Age 96. Beloved wife of the late Joseph Schwartz. Loving mother of Steven (Karen) Schwartz, Sandra Schwartz, and Laura (Jeff) Binfet. Adored grandmother of Krysten (Kurt) Johnson, Jessica (Joshua) Acosta and Stephanie (David) Brown. Cherished great-grandmother of Wesley, Lily, Braelyn, Xander and Jaycen. Predeceased by her siblings Roy (Rita) Marchetti and R. Bertyl Marchetti.

Lois met her future husband Joseph, at the Young People's Club at Our Lady of Good Counsel Church in Detroit, and together they became part of a group of 13 Christian couples who were connected instantly from meeting in the late 1940's all the way up to current times.

Family always came first for Lois – she volunteered in the luchroom at her children's grade school, wanting to ensure good eating habits, as well as staying involved with and stressing the importance of a good education. Even after her 3 children moved out of the family home in Sterling Heights, she always had a standing Sunday dinner invitation that was open to all. Lois always had time for her grandkids, now all grown adults, and as of 5 years ago, her great grandkids.

Joe and Lois were very active in the K of C St Pius X Coucil in Warren, and there they gathered and maintained another large contingent of close Christian friends there. Group vacations, bowling leagues, and regular get-togethers were always inclusive of all and very memorable because of Lois' effort to keep solid meaningful relationships with all she met.

Her years after her husband Joe passed away in 2007, were spent at the Villages of Clinton Pointe Senior Living in Clinton Township. She knew everyone there and kept her door open all day for people to stop in, even when it got her in trouble with the management. When the doctors placed Lois in hospice in late 2022, she demanded to stay in her apartment with those she cared about. She had almost another 3 full years there and treasured all of that time.

Lois had a very full life. Her presence and love for all family and friends was never-ending and she will be dearly missed by all who knew her. She was loved by all. May she rest in peace, joining her husband in heaven.
