Lois May George was born on June 15th, 1934 on a farm near Sisseton, SD to John (Jack) and Mildred (Fuller) George. Lois was baptized and confirmed at St. Peter's Catholic Church in Sisseton. She attended grade school at St. Peter's and graduated from Sisseton High School in 1952. On September 30th, 1953 she married the love of her life Norman Tchida at St. Peter's in Sisseton. After Norman returned from the military, they made their lifelong home in Sisseton. They were blessed with three daughters, Teresa, Janet, and Tammy and one son, Johnny Paul, who passed away as an infant. Lois worked at various jobs in the Sisseton area, retiring in 2000 from Terry Just Insurance. After retirement, she and Norman enjoyed traveling together, and also with family and friends. They also enjoyed time spent with their children and grandchildren. Lois was a lifelong member of St. Peter's Catholic Church, where she was active in the Altar Society. Lois was an excellent cook, baker, and sewer. She loved to share her treats. Coffee and cookies were always ready for whoever might stop by for a visit. There wasn't anything she couldn't sew, many pairs of jeans were patched over the years. She also enjoyed quilting. Lois and Norm loved to square dance and she made many of their matching outfits. She also loved to play cards. She will be dearly missed by the family she leaves behind.
