Lometa Fern (Ashton) Domenici, age 80, of Quinlan, Texas, passed away peacefully on July 4, 2025. Born on November 22, 1944, in Eustace, Texas, she was the beloved daughter of Elick and Minnie (Wallace) Ashton. A devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and sister, Lometa cherished her family above all. She found great joy in gathering with loved ones, crocheting beautiful pieces by hand, caring for her horses, and relaxing with her favorite phone games. Her warm heart, sharp wit, and generous spirit touched all who knew her. Lometa is survived by her loving husband of 50 years, Michael Domenici; her sons: Emerson Abbott, Frank Abbott and wife Crystle, Steven Abbott and wife Molly; her daughters: Delmeta Hoover and Dena Poteet and husband Brad; and her sister, Vivian Hesser. She was a proud grandmother to Matthew Abbott, Christen Rodriguez, Melissa Hammonds, Christopher Hoover, Joshua Hoover, Eric Hoover, Heather Holt, Ashton Abbott, Wyatt Abbott, Tucker Abbott, Stephanie Rader, James Abbott, Samantha Pruitt, Jamie Abbott, Amber Morisson, Kaelyn Jones, Dakota Culpepper, Garrett Poteet, and Macie Poteet. She also leaves behind numerous great-grandkids, nieces, nephews, and many extended family members and dear friends. Lometa was preceded in death by her parents, Elick and Minnie Ashton; her beloved daughter, Belinda Morisson; and siblings: E.Z. Ashton, Marie Atherton, Allene Bradley, Eula Adams, Billy Don Ashton, Edgar Ashton, Lillie Kirkwood, Elsie Moseley, J.R. Ashton, Seab Ashton, Aliee Cox, Jimmy Bonsai, S.E. Ashton, and Mary Lee Simmons. Her legacy of love, strength, and laughter lives on in the hearts of all who knew her.
