He was born September 10, 1934, in Redfield to Howard and Veona Bradshaw Shelton.
He served in the United States Air Force.
Lon had worked in maintenance at the Arkansas State Hospital.
He enjoyed traveling and fishing.
He was preceded in death by a son, Davy Shelton and his parents.
Survivors include his daughter, Renee (Buck) Foster of Bellville, Texas, grandchildren, William Foster and Christopher Foster and his companion, Geraldine Richardson.
Robinson & Fuller white Hall Chapel assisted the family with the arrangements.

George hankins enjoyed fishing and traveling with Lon in Alaska and will always cherish those memories while driving in his brand new volkswagon!
