Lonnie R. "Lebanon" Cook

Lonnie Ray Cook, son of Charles and Carol Renfro Cook, was born in Springfield, Missouri on January 14, 1970. He passed away in his home in Lebanon, Missouri on Saturday, September 27, 2025 at the age of fifty-five years, eight months and thirteen days. Lonnie grew up in the Hartville and Marshfield areas and was a graduate of Hartville High School. Following graduation, Lonnie joined the United States Navy where he faithfully served his country. He served in Desert Storm and also was stationed in Japan and the Philippines. He was an electrician and worked on the ships. He was very proud of his military service. On October 7, 1994, Lonnie was united in marriage to Connie G. Butler. Together they have shared almost thirty-one years of married life, making many wonderful memories while raising their four children. Lonnie returned to Lebanon following his time in the Navy where he was employed by The Durham Company. He then went to the Gulf of Mexico where he worked on the oil rigs. The past eighteen years of his career was spent at Kirby Inland Marine working as a Tankerman. In 2014, Lonnie was saved at Community Baptist Church. He loved reading his Bible and loved God. Lonnie is preceded in death by his parents, Charles and Carol Cook; and a daughter, Stephanie Webb. He is survived by his loving wife, Connie Cook of the home; two daughters, Lisa Dover and Malissa Dover, both of Lebanon, Missouri; a son, Charles Cook of Lebanon, Missouri; his sister, Lori Yelvington of Conway, Missouri; one brother, Matthew Cook and his wife Shannon of Lebanon, Missouri; four grandchildren, Bryson Butler, Saige Butler, Ashton Cook and Kwynn Cook; and many other relatives and friends. Lonnie enjoyed fishing, hunting and raising chickens. His life rotated around his family and he enjoyed being with them. He was a devoted husband, father, grandfather and brother. He enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren, delighting in their daily lives and accomplishments. He lived a good life and will be dearly missed. A memorial has been established and donations may be left at the funeral home.
