Lonnie Dean Falley, age 75, left this world on July 21, 2024, at his home, surrounded by his loving family, in Grove, Oklahoma. He was born on August 9, 1948, in Topeka, Kansas to Marvin and Alberta (Lloyd) Falley.
Lonnie’s life was filled with activities that brought him joy. Whether he was fishing, hunting, riding around in the golf cart, or simply sitting in the garage. He enjoyed firing up his smoker, which produced countless meals with his delicious BBQ. Lonnie's presence brightened the lives of those around him. He had a special bond with his grand and great-grandchildren, spending time playing and creating lasting memories with them. His blue Corvette was not just a car but a symbol of his adventurous spirit and love for life. Known for his skills as an excellent house painter, Lonnie was always willing to lend a helping hand to anyone in need. His enthusiasm for spending quality time with family and his fondness for sweets, especially cake, were evident to all who knew him. Lonnie was a dedicated distributor for Hiland Dairy, who spent years working in Arkansas before retiring in Grove.
Lonnie Falley is survived by his loving wife of 59 years, Mary (Creek) Falley; his son James Anthony Falley and daughter-in-law Melissa; his daughter Denise Bauer and son-in-law Tommy; his brother Garry Falley and sister-in-law Martha; his sister Marline Bryan; grandchildren: Deambra Lewis (Jonathan), Arron Bauer (Samantha), Justin Falley (Letti), Maggie West (Brian), Haely Ramey (Billy), Misael Falley (Alexis); and 17 great-grandchildren.
Lonnie Dean Falley was preceded in death by his father Marvin Falley, his mother Alberta Falley-Lauver, stepfather Fred Lauver, brother Larry Falley, and brother-in-law Ray Bryan.
A compassionate soul with a heart full of love and kindness, Lonnie will be deeply missed by all those who had the privilege of knowing him.
A celebration of life will be held from 11:00 a.m. to 1:30 p.m., Saturday, August 10, 2024 at Grace Harbor Baptist Church.
