Lonnie LaCroix, age 73, of Yankton, South Dakota, died of heart disease on Sunday, August 31, 2025 on his beloved L-L Ranch.

The family will receive friends from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM, on Saturday, September 6, 2025 at the Wintz and Ray Funeral Home in Yankton.

Lonnie Dean LaCroix was born on April 22, 1952 in Yankton, South Dakota to Marvin “Bud” and Darlene (Tweedy) LaCroix. Lonnie married Laurie Ann Mayer on October 15, 1977. Following in his father’s footsteps, he became a truckdriver, both local and long haul for most of his life.

Lonnie is survived by his wife of 48 years, Laurie LaCroix; his loyal dog, Boomer; sister, Lois (Craig); brothers: Leroy (Betty), Larry (Helen) and Lyle (Connie); and numerous aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.

Lonnie was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Linda Malik; sister-in-law, Helen LaCroix; niece, Leah LaCroix; nephews, Rick LaCroix and Scott Pickworth; and special friend, fishing buddy and cousin, Mike Tweedy.
