Lonnie Lee Lodholz, age 91, of Antigo passed away July 17, 2025 at his home under the care of his family and LeRoyer Hospice.
Lonnie was born on May 26, 1934 in Deerbrook to the late Frank Carl and Pearl Jane (Quick) Lodholz.
He attended Elcho High School.
On March 28, 1958, Lonnie was united in marriage to Loretta Annette Lamb in Milwaukee.
They resided in Menomonee Falls for many years and upon retirement, they return to Deerbrook.
Lonnie enjoyed the outdoors, hunting, fishing and 4-wheeling with his children and grandson. He and Loretta and a wonderful circle of friends with whom they met for weekly lunch dates and day trips for lunch as well. Loretta and Lonnie were community minded and caring as they volunteered to deliver Meals on Wheels and Lonnie also volunteered in the AARP Driver’s Safety that Loretta taught.
Throughout their marriage Lonnie and Loretta opened their hearts and homes to many children and always loved a full house.
Lonnie was a member of St. Luke Lutheran Church in Elcho, where he served on the church council, and helped out wherever he could.
In addition to his wife Loretta, Lonnie is survived by a daughter Susan (Patrick) Schmitt, a grandson Garrett Schmitt, a sister-in-law Ester Lodholz, a brother in-law William “Bill” (Lois) Lamb, and many Nieces and Nephews.
In addition to his parents, Lonnie was preceded in death by a son Todd Lodholz, a sister Lorraine (Walter) Orban, brothers: Frank and Rodger Lodholz, and a grandnephew Joe Lamb.
A memorial service will be held on Friday, July 25 at 2:00 PM at St. Luke Lutheran Church in Elcho. Reverend Paul Radke will officiate. Visitation will be prior to the service at church beginning at 12:30PM.
