Lonnie “Buddy” “Boom Boom” Smith, 79, went home to be with his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ July 17, 2023.
Born in Anderson, South Carolina July 7, 1944. He was the son of the late Lee Roy Smith (1966) and Reverend Eunice Smith (1998).
He was a retired truck driver and was a U.S. Navy Veteran, having served in the Vietnam War. Lonnie loved spending time with his family and friends. He will be dearly missed by all who loved and knew him.
He was preceded in death by his oldest son Thomas Lamar Smith (2015).
He is survived by his son Lonnie Dean Smith. Granddaughters Jessica Smith and Tiffany Copeland. Great grandchildren, Nadia, Alayna, Morayah, Maniya, BJ, and Tylen.
Family and friends will be at the home of Tiffany Copeland Monday, July 31, 2023 from 3:00 PM until 6:00 PM. 1130 Jackson St, Anderson, SC, 29625.
