Lora Dawn (Arnold) Stringer, age 56, of Glade Spring, Va., joined her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on June 18, 2024. She was born July 11, 1967, to Wallace Gary Arnold and Reda Joyce (Holmes) Arnold. Lora had a special eye for aesthetics and was a cosmetologist for the majority of her life, even owning her own salon for a number of years; she continued doing hair for family and close friends over the years. She was a founding member of Living Hope Community Fellowship, where her husband serves as pastor. She dearly loved her church family and was passionate about showing the love of Christ to all she encountered.
She was preceded in death by her father and several other dearly cherished family and friends.
In addition to her mother, Lora is survived by her loving husband of 30 years, Wesley "Wes" Kirk Stringer; three children: Jessica McGlocklin Owens and husband, Bruce, and beloved grandson, Harrison, of North Carolina; Bethany Stringer Dingus and husband, Peyton, of Meadowview, Va.; and Noah Stringer and wife, Savannah, of Abingdon, Va.; brother, Timothy "Tim" Arnold and wife, Stephanie, of Blountville, Tenn.; and several other close family members.
A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, July 20, 2024, at 2:00 p.m. at Seven Springs Presbyterian Church, 33182 Seven Springs Rd., Glade Spring, VA 24340, with Pastor Tom Sullivan officiating. Following the Celebration of Life, Living Hope Community Fellowship will assist with a community meal to give friends and family an opportunity to show their support and to share condolences. Those wishing to participate in the community meal are asked to bring a covered dish.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Samaritan's Purse International Relief.
