Lora Weider-Crabtree
May 5, 1962 – July 25, 2025
Lora Weider-Crabtree was born on May 5, 1962, in Canton, Ohio, at Aultman Hospital, to loving parents Alice Meredith and Michael Sokolousky. She was a proud graduate of Timken High School, where her love of learning first took root - a passion that continued throughout her life.
Lora accepted Christ at an early age and nurtured her faith through virtual worship at Faith Family Church in North Canton, Ohio. Her deep relationship with God guided every aspect of her life, inspiring her to pursue academic and personal excellence.
Motivated by her faith and dedication to helping others, Lora earned a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and Sociology, followed by a Master's degree from Kent State University.
In her leisure time, Lora found joy in crafting, indulging in Asian dramas, and faithfully watching Shark Week. She was also a devoted fan of the K-Pop group BTS. Above all, she cherished the time spent with her grandchildren, treasuring each moment and memory made.
On the morning of Friday, July 25, 2025, Lora peacefully transitioned to be reunited with her beloved mother, Alice; her dear brother, Kenny; and her cherished son, Jeremy.
Lora leaves behind a legacy of love and strength in the hearts of those who knew her. She is survived by her husband, Michael Crabtree; siblings Gale Kafury-Tingler (Teddy), Owen Kafury (Nancy), Michael Sokolousky Jr., and Lisa Osto; her sons Daniel Wayne Dalesandro Jr. (Lauren) and Matthew Ryan Dalesandro; and her treasured grandchildren: Braydon Daniel Dalesandro, Matthew Ryan Dalesandro Jr., MJ Allen Dalesandro, Caleb Andrew Dalesandro, Nicco A. Dalesandro, Tristan Jacob Dalesandro, and Gianna Lynn Dalesandro.
She is also lovingly remembered by her dear friend Dawn Eversole; her special nephew Jeffrey Hunt; sister-in-law Joan Collett Domineck (Doug); and a host of extended family and friends who will miss her dearly.
Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Schneeberger-Oser Funeral Home in Canton, Ohio.
