Reginald Troy Gamble Sr., affectionately known to family and friends as Reggie, was a man whose life radiated warmth, humor, and genuine love. Known for his quick wit and infectious laughter, Reggie had a remarkable way of lifting spirits and bringing people together. His presence was comforting, his heart generous, and his love for others unwavering. Though he has departed this earthly life, the impact of his kindness and the joy he brought to so many will live on forever.

Reggie was born on October 14, 1960, in Greenville, Mississippi, to James Gamble and Bertha Taylor. In time, he made Mansfield, Ohio his lifelong home-a place where he built his family, forged deep friendships, and became a familiar and beloved presence in the community. Mansfield was not just where Reggie lived; it was where his life's story unfolded.

A proud patriot, Reggie honorably served his country in the United States Marine Corps. During his service, he completed a tour of duty in Okinawa, Japan, representing his country with discipline, integrity, and pride. His time in the Marines shaped his character and instilled values that guided him throughout his life. Reggie carried his service with quiet dignity, and in recognition of his faithful dedication to his country, full military honors will be rendered.

In his personal life, Reggie found joy in life's simple pleasures. He was an avid fisherman, often finding peace and contentment near the water. Fishing was more than a pastime-it was a place of reflection, relaxation, and connection, often shared with loved ones. He was also known for his willingness to lend a helping hand, his open door, and his ability to show up when it mattered most.

Family was the center of Reggie's world. He loved deeply and gave freely, especially to his children and grandchildren. His guidance, humor, and strength will continue to shape the lives of those he leaves behind. To know Reggie was to know loyalty, compassion, and unconditional love.

Reggie was preceded in death by his beloved sister, Tammy Gamble; his father, James Gamble; and Alvin Maxwell.

He leaves to cherish his memory his sons, Moses Gamble, Reginald Gamble Jr., Antoine Gamble, and Sergio Gamble; his daughter, Kayla Gamble; his siblings, Shawn Gamble (Dawn R.), Faye Gamble, Alvin Parnell, Clifford Maxwell, Tina Maxwell, Diane Maxwell, Frank Riley, and Carolyn Alexander; along with a treasured legacy of grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, extended family members, and dear friends who loved him dearly.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Schneeberger-Oser Funeral Home, located at 2222 Fulton Road Northwest, Canton, Ohio.

Friends may call on the family on Friday, December 19, 2025, from 9:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. at Providence Baptist Church in Mansfield, Ohio. A Homegoing Celebration honoring Reggie's life will immediately follow at 10:30 a.m. at the same location, with Pastor Mark Cobb officiating.

Full military honors and interment will take place later that day at 2:15 p.m. at the Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery in Rittman, Ohio.

Reggie will be remembered for his laughter, his strength, his generosity, and the love he gave so freely. Though he has been called home, his spirit remains alive in the hearts of all who were blessed to know him.

Rest in eternal peace, Reggie. Well done.
