Lore Griffin Obituary
Funeral services will be conducted at 12:00 p.m., Saturday, April 6, 2024, at Ridge Funeral Home Chapel, Asheboro, with Rev. Bo Wansley officiating. Burial will follow at New Hope Memorial Gardens.
Born on February 14, 1937 in Bad Aibling, Bavaria, Germany, Lore was the daughter of the late Hans Paul Obermayr and Monika Steinbacher Obermayr. She retired as a nurse with High Point Regional Hospital after 15 years of service. Lore loved animals, gardening and being outdoors. She was always willing to help others.
In addition to her parents, Lore was preceded in death by her husband of 59 years, Robert Griffin, and her brother, Hans Obermayr.
Surviving are sons, Ronald Griffin (Paula) of Seagrove; Russell Griffin of Asheboro; grandchildren, Nathan Griffin, Sarah Griffin, and Laura Mabe.
The family will receive friends from 10:45 to 11:45 a.m., Saturday, prior to the service at Ridge Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Asheboro.
Memorials may be made to Randolph SPCA, 300 W. Bailey Street, Asheboro, NC 27203.
