Loren M. Keely age 61 of Colon, passed away on Monday, November 6, 2023, at Ascension PIPP Hospital in Plainwell.
Loren was born on October 29, 1962, in Goshen, Indiana, a son to the late Martin and Mary (Borntrager) Keely. Loren attended Centreville High School and graduated with the class of 1981.
Loren worked on the line at Secure Domes and Mirrors in Sturgis for 40 years until his health forced him into retirement. Loren was a loving father who never missed a sporting event. He lived to watch his kids compete. He also was a die-hard fan of the Notre Dame Fighting Irish. He was always good for a razzing if you were not an Irish fan. Loren also enjoyed the San Fransico 49ers football team. Loren was a funny and goofy soul who will be missed by many.
Surviving Loren today are his children: Rebecca (Nate) Barrett of Coldwater, Gabriel (Emma) Keely of Mendon, Ericka (James) Feister of Sturgis, grandchildren: Jax, Emerlyn and Rocky, siblings: Larry Keely of Battle Creek, Carol (Robert) O'Brien of Sturgis, sister-in-law: Ony Keely and several nieces and nephews.
Besides his parents Martin and Mary Keely Loren was preceded in death by his brother Lee Michael Keely.
Following in his wish's cremation has taken place. A celebration of life will be held at Radiant Life Church: 907 N Nottawa St, Sturgis, MI 49091, on Sunday, November 12, 2023, at 2:00 PM with Pastor Ryan Bibb officiating. Interment of ashes will take place at a later date in Locust Grove Cemetery. In lieu of flowers the family asks memorial donations be directed towards the Colon Athletic Boosters.
