He was born on February 13, 1964, in Peoria, Ill., to Earl and Elsie (Kaufman) Zimmerman. Loren married Mary Hartman on April 14, 1984, in Goodfield, Ill.
Surviving are his wife, Mary of Eureka; children, Adair (Jamie) Zimmerman of Carlock, Malinda (Bill) Kafka of Indianapolis, Betsy (Loren) Ulrich of Deer Creek and Larae (Nick) Schmidgall of Congerville; grandchildren, Rhett, Remi, Rowe, Charley; mother, Elsie Zimmerman of Eureka; siblings, Dianne (Mikel) Schmidgall, Dale (Sue) Zimmerman, Elaine (Scott) Frank, Ruth (Ed) Leman and Gloria (John) Cottrell, all of Eureka.
Loren's life was deeply rooted in Eureka's farming community. He and his brother, Dale, operated Lordale Farms. He was a board member of Grainland Co-op and worked diligently for HarvestCall in Goodfield.
His life was a testament of faith, hard work and an unwavering commitment to those he held dear.
He was a member of Eureka Apostolic Christian Church, where a funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday, September 17, 2025, with church ministers officiating. Visitation will be held from 4 to 7 p.m. Tuesday, September 16, at the Goodfield Apostolic Christian Fellowship Hall. Further visitation will be held from 9 to 9:45 a.m. Wednesday, prior to the service at the church. Burial will be at Olio Cemetery in Eureka.
Memorials may be made to HarvestCall or Apostolic Christian Home of Eureka.
