Memorial Services for Lorena Blair, 87, will be held at her home church, Warm Valley Baptist Church in Pavillion, Wyoming, officiated by Dr. Dale Bascue at 4:30 p.m., Tuesday, April 7, 2026 at 4:30 pm. She passed away on Thursday, March 26, 2026 in Casper, Wyoming.

Lorena "Renie" Mae Horsley Blair was born on November 3, 1938 in San Rafael, California, daughter of Gladys Helen (Ruhl) Horsley and Amos Floyd Horsley. Lorena had one little sister named Shirley that she adored.

In 1956, Lorena married Lee Kell Blair, and together they had their first daughter Shirley Jean. 8 years later Lee and Lorena welcomed David Floyd.

Through the years, The Blair family resided in several states including Mississippi, Alabama, Utah, Washington and finally Wyoming where Renie would make this her home as she finished out the rest of her days.

Lorena was a hard worker. She graduated from Sir Francis Drake High school in San Anselmo, California and later obtained an AAS degree in Dental assisting from San Francisco Dental College. She worked as a dental assistant for 25 years and then taught dental assisting in Logan, Utah. During her later years, she was an office manager for veterinary clinics in Richmond, Utah, and Yakima, Washington. Finally, before retirement she worked as a School Paraprofessional in both Thermopolis and Big Horn, Wyoming.

Lorena's hobbies included water skiing, fishing, camping or just spending time with her family. She was very well loved by all who knew her. Lorena also was a good and faithful servant for the Lord, who taught numerous children in various activities throughout her walk with Christ. She was a big participant in any church activities, and showed the Lord as her first priority in life. One of her famous lines to her family members was always "think before you act and speak." She will be truly missed.

Lorena was preceded in death by her parents Amos and Gladys Horsley.

Survivors include her husband, Lee Kell Blair; sister, Shirley (Chuck) Peak; daughter, Shirley (Garry) Laughlin; son, David (Tina) Blair; 4 grandchildren, Matthew (Mariel) Laughlin, Jonathan (Catarina) Laughlin, Daniel (Jesica) Blair, and Ashley (Ryan) Bascue; 11 great grandchildren, many nieces and nephews, and several extended family members.
