Our wife, mother, sister, Lorene S Colgan passed from this life on 29 April 2025. She was born to Delmar and Bonnie Schultz on 20 Jan 1969. She is the wife of Dominick Colgan and mother of four children, Cameron, Hayden, Mitchel, and Kara Colgan, all of Fishers Indiana. Lorene passed after a 12-year courageous battle against Breast Cancer. She leaves behind her siblings Debbie Carmack, Tenn ByVonda Thomas (Frank) Anderson Mary Arnold Kokomo and Eric Bauer (Ramona) Anderson. Plus lifetime friends Angie, Shelly, Yvette, Julie, Jayne and Yvonne and her very closest cousin JoAnna.
Lorene attended Anderson schools both Madison Heights and Highland Highschools. She attended modeling school and modeled locally. She participated in Miss Teen Indiana. She graduated from Ball State in 1994 supporting herself with various types of employment from modeling to commissioned shoe sales, but her favorite stories of her employment spending a summer on a pig farm in Randolph County Indiana. She applied and participated in the BSU International Student exchange attending Chichester College in England. She loved and cherished her children, family, siblings and her friends always keeping in touch. Lorene was preceded in death by her parents, her in-laws, Kermit and Elizabeth Lay, Brother-in-law, John Colgan and sister-in-law, Joanna Colgan.
A Memorial Service for Lorene will be at 2:00pm on Monday, May 19, 2025, at Flanner Buchanan – Oaklawn Memorial Gardens (Conner Suite) – 9700 Allisonville Rd., Indianapolis, IN 46250. Inurnment will take place immediately following the service at Oaklawn Memorial Gardens Cemetery.
