Lorene Greer

Lorene Sims Greer, 90, of Demossville, KY passed away on Sunday, February 23, 2025 at Grant Rehab Facility in Williamstown, KY. Born on April 17, 1934 in Casey County to the late Edward and Mary Katherine Sims. She is the widow to the late Marvin Greer.
Lorene worked at Florence Care Nursing Home for 10 years, and she was also a homemaker. She spent countless hours sewing, weaving memories into beautiful quilts that warmed many a heart. Her love for country music and traveling to the Smoky Mountains was shared with her late husband, Marvin Greer, the memories of which she held close to her heart. She was a member of Main Street Baptist in Florence, KY.
Survivors include one daughter, Katherine Wahl (Dexter) of Demossville; one grandson, Marvin Lee Wahl; two great-grandchildren, Brandon Lee Wahl and Cain Jacob Wahl; and several nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Marvin Greer; parents, Edward and Mary Katherine Sims; two brothers, Bryan Sims and Delbert Sims; and two sisters, Marie Snow and Beatrice Marshall.
A one-day service will be held on Saturday, March 1, 2025 at Spurlin Funeral Home in Stanford, KY. Visitation will be from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. The funeral service will begin at 1:00 p.m. Burial will follow at K.P. Hall Cemetery in Kings Mountain, KY.
