Lorene McCoy Obituary
Born Jan. 24, 1942, in East Cleveland, Lorene had lived in Euclid before moving to Mentor 50 years ago.
Lorene was a 1960 graduate of Euclid High School. She was a member of Mentor Plains United Methodist Church. Lorene liked to walk outdoors, especially walking on the beach in Siesta Key, Fl. She loved music and dancing and all animals, especially her dogs, Beauty, Mickey and Garfield. But, Lorene's all-time favorite thing to do was spending time with her son, Brian, her daughter-in-law Maggie, her grandchildren, friends and family.
She was the beloved wife of Donald O. McCoy; loving mother of Brian L. (Maggie) McCoy; cherished grandmother of Kyle Andrew McCoy, Courtney Amanda McCoy and Adam Joseph Rababy; sister of Sharonne Elaine (Arthur) (nee Rusk) Miller; sister-in law of Terry (Bev) McCoy; and aunt of Heidi Geisewite, Paul (Meg) Geisewite and Cheryl (Jeff) Sweigart.
Lorene was preceded in death by her parents, Luther O. and Elaine M. (nee Stute) Rusk.
Funeral services were held at the McMahon-Coyne-Vitantonio Funeral Home, 6330 Center St. (Rt. 615, N of Rt. 2), Mentor. Rev. Jeffrey Stoll officiated. Burial at Mentor Cemetery will be private.
In lieu of flowers, donations in Lorene's name may be made to Mentor Plains United Methodist Church, 7271 Lakeshore Blvd., Mentor, OH, 44060 or the Lake County Humane Society, 7564 Tyler Blvd., Mentor OH 44060.
