Con profundo amor y sincero recuerdo, anunciamos el fallecimiento de Loreta Ornelas el 20 de julio de 2025. Nacida el 10 de diciembre de 1944 en Guerrero, México, Loreta vivió una vida marcada por la fortaleza, la calidez y la perseverancia.
Se mudó a los Estados Unidos en 1976, llevando consigo un espíritu de determinación y un profundo amor por su familia. Loreta fue una madre, abuela y bisabuela orgullosa y dedicada, cuya presencia llenaba de luz y alegría cada lugar que pisaba.
Su fe católica siempre la acompañó. Confiaba en Dios en todo momento y esa confianza se reflejaba en el amor y cuidado que daba a los demás.
Loreta era conocida por su amor a la música y al baile, especialmente las cumbias. Nunca decía no a una oportunidad de bailar y su alegría era contagiosa. También tenía un cariño especial por los niños y dedicó gran parte de su vida al cuidado de los demás. Su ética de trabajo era inigualable y enfrentaba cada reto con valentía y gracia.
Le precede en muerte su esposo, Tomás Ornelas. Le sobreviven con amor sus hijos: Antonia Ornelas-Grimsley (Paul Grimsley), Zoila Muñoz (Rafael Muñoz), Juan Carlos Obispo (Sonia Obispo) y Jorge Reynoso. También deja numerosos nietos, bisnietos y una familia extendida que siempre llevará su recuerdo en el corazón.
El legado de Loreta es de alegría, amor y fuerza silenciosa. Su risa, su baile y su incansable cuidado por los demás serán profundamente extrañados y recordados por siempre.
In Loving Memory of Loreta Ornelas
December 10, 1944 – July 20, 2025
With deep love and heartfelt remembrance, we announce the passing of Loreta Ornelas on July 20, 2025. Born on December 10, 1944, in Guerrero, Mexico, Loreta lived a life marked by strength, warmth, and perseverance.
She moved to the United States in 1976, carrying with her a spirit of determination and a deep love for her family. Loreta was a proud and devoted mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother whose presence brought light and laughter to every room she entered.
Her Catholic faith was always with her. She trusted God in every moment, and that trust shone through in the love and care she gave to others.
Loreta was known for her love of music and dancing, especially Cumbias. She never turned down a chance to dance, and her joy was contagious. She also had a special love for children and dedicated much of her life to caring for others. Her work ethic was unmatched, and she faced every challenge with resilience and grace.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Tomás Ornelas, and is survived by her loving children: Antonia Ornelas-Grimsley (Paul Grimsley), Zoila Muñoz (Rafael Muñoz), Juan Carlos Obispo (Sonia Obispo), and Jorge Reynoso. Loreta also leaves behind numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and extended family who will always carry her memory in their hearts.
Loreta's legacy is one of joy, love, and quiet strength. Her laughter, her dancing, and her unwavering care for those around her will be dearly missed and forever remembered.
