Loretta Cyr Obituary
She was born on Dec. 14, 1935 in Tarrytown, NY; the daughter of Sylvio and Yevette (Gagnon) Cyr.
Loretta had a love for animals, her loyal companion “Wiggles”, the dog. she was loved by many.
She is survived by her three sons, Stanley Whiting of Dover, NH, Kurt Castaldo of Florida and Albert John Castaldo of Florida; her daughter, Theresa Byrne of NY; her brothers, Arthur Cyr and Donald Cyr both of NY; her sisters, Norma Torson of TX, Mary Kathleen Cyr of NY and Madeline Miller of AZ.
The family would like to express their gratitude to Loretta’s neighbors and local rescue teams for their efforts in trying to save her. Additionally, the family expresses their thanks to the local children for their kind remembrance.

Friends and family may call from 9:30-10:30 am on Monday, Nov. 21, 2005 at Halvey’s Funeral Home, 24 Willow St., Beacon, NY. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am on Monday, Nov. 21, 2005 at St. Joachim – St. John the Evangelist Church, 57 Leonard St. Beacon, NY. Internment will follow at St Joachim Cemetery in Beacon, NY.

We all will miss Mrs. Cyr's visits to the Somersworth Public Library. She always had a smile for us and words of appreciation for finding answers her questions or assisting her on our computers. If the weather was cold outside, Wiggles, her very well behaved little dog, had permission to join her. Wiggles would curl up on the floor right at her feet. All the librarians join me in extending our sincere sympathy to her family and friends.

We, the employees at Rocky's Ace Hardware, would like to extend our sincerest condolences to the family of Loretta Cyr. She was a valuable customer at our store, she and Wiggles frequented us often!!! We would always get a treat for Wiggles and visit a while! Wiggles and "Wiggles Mom" will be missed!

Our deepest sympathies to your family. Every night when we walked our dog Zoe we usually saw your Mom with Wiggles. Wiggles and Zoe were becoming good friends. Our dog Zoe loved your Mom and her love of animals was apparent. She was a very nice lady and we will miss her.
