Loretta Deiter Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Bradley Funeral Home - Marlton on Nov. 1, 2025.

Deiter, Loretta B. (nee Maciejewski) passed away unexpectedly on October 30, 2025. She was 82.
Loving mother of James E. Deiter, Jr. and his wife, Jennifer and Jeffrey D. Deiter and his wife, Jessica. Dearly loved grandmom of James E. Deiter, III and his wife, Christina, Kaitlyn Deiter, Joseph Deiter, Jase Deiter and Brody Deiter.
Mrs. Deiter spent most of her life in Marlton where she raised her two sons. She was a legal secretary and thoroughly enjoyed her job. She worked the election polls in Evesham Township, was very social, enjoyed talking on the phone with her friends and playing cards. Most of all, she was dedicated to her sons and family. She was a hard-working, single mom and always put her children first. She will be dearly missed.
Relatives and friends are invited to her viewing on Friday, November 7 from 11-12:30pm at the Bradley Funeral Home 601 Route 73 S. and Evesham Road in Marlton. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday at 1 PM at St Joan of Arc Church 100 Willow Bend Rd., Marlton. Burial will follow at St. Joseph Cemetery in Chews Landing, NJ. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Loretta's memory to the Crohns and Colitis foundation at www.crohnscolitisfoundation.org

Loretta was the best legal secretary I ever worked with. Hard-working, organized, never complaining about the amount of work I gave to her. She was very professional and made me look good. In many ways she was also a second mother and often offered opinions and suggestions about life issues. My family grew to love her too. When my daughter had to create a family tree in school when she was very young, she included Loretta as part of the family.

Loretta was more of a personal assistant than a legal secretary to me - always keeping me organized and providing me with direction. I told her for many years that she was never allowed to retire, but she ultimately did, so she could dedicate her time to her sons and grandchildren. I received the shocking news that she had passed on Friday. The news hit me like a sucker punch from Mike Tyson. I knew Loretta was getting older, but she seemed so healthy and strong when I knew her. She’s one of those people that you thought would never pass. She will be deeply missed by all who knew her!

I always admired my Aunt Loretta's strength, raising two wonderful accomplished sons on her own. She was a wonderful person that I always enjoyed seeing and speaking with. She will be greatly missed by many people. Thoughts and prayers to my cousins, her sons, and their family's.
