Loretta A. Dutil, 64, of Springfield, passed away peacefully at her home on July 29, 2025. Born on August 12, 1960, in Springfield, Massachusetts, she was the beloved daughter of the late John and Lorraine (Lussier) Dutil. Loretta was educated in the Springfield public schools and was a proud graduate of Commerce High School. She worked for many years at Chem Metal, where she was known for her dedication and strong work ethic. A woman of warmth and kindness, Loretta found joy in the simple things-she loved cooking, gardening, and spending time with her family and friends. Her generous spirit and loving heart touched all who knew her. She is survived by her two loving children, Jesse Bresse and Renee Bresse both of Springfield; her brother, Lee Dutil; and two sisters, Joyce Dutil of Springfield and Jean Duchain and her husband James of Springfield. She also leaves behind her two cherished grandchildren, Abel and Jacob, who brought endless joy to her life. A calling hour will be held on Thursday, August 28, 2025, from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM, followed by a funeral service at 12:00 PM at the Byron Keenan Funeral Home and Cremation Tribute Center, 1858 Allen Street, Springfield, MA 01118. Burial will be private. Loretta will be remembered for her unwavering love for her family, her generous heart, and the warmth she shared with everyone around her.
