LORETTA JEAN "JEANIE" HASS, 87, of Weirton, WV, passed Thursday, June 19, 2025 at home. She was born August 19, 1937 in Mingo Junction, OH, daughter of the late Nicholas and Mary Zadanski Bezak. She is also preceded in death by her loving husband, Kenneth P. Hass (2019), who she married in 1960; grandson, Mitchell Kenneth Hass; and brother, Nicholas John Bezak, PhD.

Jeanie was Christian by faith. She loved wildlife and caring for the many cats who passed through her home for over fifty years. She was born and raised on her family farm in Mingo Junction. She worked as a Secretary for National Steel Company, where she met Ken. As they raised their family, Jeanie enjoyed spending time at the farm where she grew up, introducing her sons to the nature she enjoyed as a child. She also traveled, often to Myrtle Beach and Chincoteague, but also to Morgantown, Charleston, Boston, and England. She also always made time for her grandchildren, giving them the same support and love she gave to friends and family. Her big heart, generosity, and warmth are deeply missed by all.

Jeanie is survived by her loving sons, Jeffrey Hass (Irina Baranova) and Stephen Hass (Julie); grandchildren, Daniel, Peter, Benjamin, and Megan; sister, Suanne Dawson; and brothers, James, Edward, and Samuel Bezak.

Per Jeanie's wishes, there will be no visitation. Cremation arrangements have been entrusted to Steel & Wolfe Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Weirton, WV. In lieu of flowers, people are asked to make a donation to a charity of their choice.
