Loretta Courtney Riddle, 87, of Evansville IN, was called home by her Heavenly Father on January 27,2026. She was born November 25, 1938, in Morganfield, KY, to the late Ira Courtney Sr., and Nellie Pearl (Babb) Courtney. She was preceded in death by her sister, Pyllis Ann Courtney, brother, Harry Eugene “Gladys” Courtney, and her sister, Peggy Jean (Courtney) Brown “Wayne”, and her granddaughter, Nicole Aileen Riddle.
Her greatest joy came from spending time with her family. She is survived by her four children: James “Jim” Riddle and “Crissy” (Racine) Riddle of Springfield, TN, Jerry Lee Riddle and “Hyas” (Sy) Riddle of Gilbert, AZ, Janet Marie (Riddle) (Wright) Remling, and “Richard” Remling of Edinburg, TX, and Jackie Lynn (Riddle) Hawthorne, and “Lance” (Rij) of Haubstadt, IN, and all of her grandchildren: Jerid Lee Riddle and “Cassandra” (Walker) of Chandler, AZ, Mia Victoria Riddle, Max Leon Riddle and Mateo Lee Riddle of Chandler AZ, and Donald Craig Wright of Edinburgh, TX and several great-grandchildren.
She was a member of the New Bethel Southern Baptist church of Evansville, IN. She attended Reitz High School in Evansville, IN. She enjoyed playing the piano, drawing and painting, writing poetry, crocheting, and collecting coins.
Funeral services will be scheduled at a later date.
