Loretta Saporito Obituary

Loretta Ann Saporito, 81, of Moundsville WV, died on January 8th, 2024, at home surrounded by her loving family.
She was born on June 30th, 1942 in Fairmont, WV to Guy and Mary Ann Pacifico Martelli.
From an early age, Loretta knew her calling was to serve the Lord.
Prior to finding the love of her life, she devoted 7 years as a nun with the Sisters of St. Joseph.As a devout Catholic and member of the Secular Franciscans; Loretta spent her time spreading compassion, kindness, and unconditional love.
She was an educator, teaching people in need. She had a warm heart, welcoming smile, and loved good conversations.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death, by her loving husband Guy Saporito Sr.
Surviving are her two loving boys, Guy "Tony" Saporito Jr. of Moundsville WV, and Michael Andrew Saporito of Wheeling, WV; a sister, Doreen Martelli-Branham, sister-in-law Angeline Spino, nieces Kim Wilson, Debbie Huffman, Cathy Secreto, Mary Catherine Saporito, Frank Saporito, and Chris Pulice.
She leaves behind many friends and extended family whom she loved dearly. The family would like to express their gratitude to the physicians and staff of Valley Hospice and Liza's Place.
Your kindness and compassion will never be forgotten!
Friends and family will be received from Thursday, January 11th, 2024 from 2:00 pm until 6:00 pm at 118 Grant Avenue.
Following, on Friday, the 12th, a Christian Mass of Burial will be held at St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church at 11:00 am. After Mass, an interment will be held at Riverview Cemetery.
In lieu of contributions, please honor her legacy by excercising random acts of kindness and compassion in your daily lives.
