Berridge "B.L." Allen

Berridge "B.L" Allen, a beloved father, grandfather, brother, and friend, passed away peacefully on September 9, 2025, in Moundsville, West Virginia, at the age of 88. Born on November 12, 1936, in Cameron, B.L lived a life marked by hard work, dedication, and a love for the great outdoors.

A U.S Army Veteran and retired iron worker for Local 549, B.L was known for his strong work ethic and commitment to his craft. He spent many years contributing to the industry with skill and integrity, earning the respect and admiration of his colleagues.

Outside of his professional life, B.L was an avid fisherman and hunter, passions he pursued with enthusiasm throughout his life. A Christian by faith, he found solace and inspiration in the natural world, often reflecting on his beliefs during quiet moments in nature.

B.L was preceded in death by his parents, Kenneth and Helen (Redd) Allen; his beloved wife, Janet K. (Snyder) Allen; his brothers, Jesse Allen and Frank Allen. sister, Evelyn Anderson. and his brother-in-laws and sister-in-law, Donnie Snyder and David (Marilyn) Snyder. He is survived by his sons, Jeff (Janet) Allen and Chad Allen, both of Moundsville; his cherished granddaughter, Kelsey Allen, also of Moundsville; two brothers, Curt (Karen) Allen and Kenny (Lou) Allen, both residing in Cameron, WV; his sister, Sarah (Gerry) White of Georgia; two Brother and sister-in-laws, Phil (Karen) Hess and Harry (Jane) Snyder and his devoted caregiver, Beth McLaughlin of Sherrard.

Family and friends are invited to pay their respects on Thursday evening from 5-8 PM and again on Friday morning from 10 AM until the time of service at 11 AM at Altmeyer Funeral Home, Lutes & Kirby Vance Chapels, located at 118 Grant Avenue, Moundsville, with Rich Siburt will be officiating the service

B.L will be remembered for his unwavering dedication to his family, his work, and his faith. His legacy will live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved him.
