Beatrice Caldwell Obituary

Beatrice Jane Caldwell, born on December 23, 1934, in Wheeling, West Virginia, peacefully departed this life on August 24, 2025, at the age of 90. She passed away at her home in Moundsville, surrounded by her loving family.

Beatrice was Catholic by faith and found fulfillment in her many years of work with the Credit Bureau in Wheeling and the American Greeting Card Company before her retirement.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Andrew and Alexandra Laura (Garvich) Przelenski; her beloved husband, Samuel J. Caldwell; her two brothers, two sisters; her son-in-law Tom E. Guzek; and her grandson, Josh R. Hess.

Beatrice leaves behind a family that cherished her deeply, including her daughters, Audrey J. (Tommy) Guzek of Albany, OH, and Nancy J. (Michael) Wesley of Rehoboth Beach, DE; her son, Victor A. (Gena) Caldwell of Moundsville, WV; her granddaughter Joette Guzek (Scott Sargent); her great-grandchildren, Seth Thomas Sargent and Emily Sargent (Everett Yoho); as well as her great-great-grandchildren, Henry Scott Yoho and Scarlett R. Yoho. She will also be fondly remembered by her very best friend, Nedra, as well as her special friends and neighbors, Brenda and Bud Beisner, and in her words, "With love to my wonderful niece, Janet."

A visitation will be held on Wednesday, August 27, 2025, from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM at Altmeyer Funeral Home, Lutes & Kirby Vance Chapel, located at 118 Grant Avenue, Moundsville. The funeral service will take place on Thursday, August 28, at 12:00 PM at the funeral home, followed by a committal service at Riverview Cemetery.
