Loretta Jane (Provenzano) Scott was born on August 7, 1931 in her beloved "Steel City," Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania to Mary (Rogina) and Robert Provenzano. Always a "daddy's girl" Loretta grew up in the Bloomfield "Little Italy" neighborhood, attended city schools including Schenley High, adored her pup Snowball, modeled fashions at Kaufmann's, and became a lifelong Steelers fan. A "city person" at heart, she was happiest spending time dining, dancing, shopping and socializing in Pittsburgh, New York, and Naples, Florida. She traveled to the other side on January 13, 2023.
Loretta was married to her husband and best friend, the Reverend Stan Scott, for more than 50 years. She and Stan Costanzo met and married as teenagers, and soon moved to North Carolina where he was stationed in the Army at Fort Bragg. Their first son Bobby was born in N.C. in 1953 and upon returning to Steubenville, Ohio, Dean (Dino) was welcomed in 1958, with Glenn arriving in 1963. Throughout these years Loretta was a homemaker and supportive wife, hosted television commercials for GE, managed a jewelry sale business, partnered in her husband's Spiritual Awakening Ministry, and often appeared on Cornerstone Television as Stan's co-host and as a guest cook on "At Home with Arlene Williams". She always made time for fashion, make-up and bargain-hunting and was the most stylish lady in any room. Her favorite pursuit was "working out" and she became a fitness instructor and well-known member of the Rocky Road gym, winning a lifetime achievement award in 2014, at age 83.
Loretta spent her final years in Beverly, Massachusetts where she loved to watch the ocean in Marblehead, teach favorite recipes to her grandsons, attend shows and concerts, go out to lunch and on drives with new friends, and be included with her fellow "grands" Joan and Jack Murphy in their shared family's activities. 0
Loretta is survived by her son Glenn (Joanna Murphy), grandsons Jackson and Ethan, granddaughter Dana (Jonathan DeStefano), great-grandson Mason, and daughter-in-law Dawn (Andreozzi). She was predeceased by her parents Mary and Bob, husband Stan, and sons Bobby and Dino. She leaves many lifelong friends throughout the Ohio Valley and those she made in Massachusetts. Special thanks go to her dedicated Care Dimensions Hospice team, especially Maureen, Angela, the Kaplan House professionals, and Reverend Beth Loughhead.
Services will be held privately. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to Care Dimensions https://www.caredimensions.org or Valley Hospice https://www.valleyhospice.org.

I am so sorry to hear about Loretta's passing. I had just finished watching her on TV on At Home with Arlene, and she was so much fun and loved the Lord. God Bless her and her dear family.

I was so sorry to hear about the passing of Loretta. My mom and dad were old time neighbors. Hugo and Anna Poillucci, who lived across the street from her mom and dad. I remember her visiting her mom and dad frequently, and always stopping over to say hello to my mom and dad. She was such a vibrant, go getting person, who even at my young age, admired. I´m sure her reuniting with her family in heaven was beautiful. God bless her family here and my God continue to watch over you during this difficult time.
