Loretta Sparacio

Loretta Sparacio, 99, formerly of Dumont, NJ, passed away peacefully on December 12, 2023. Predeceased by her beloved husband, Joseph. Loving mother of daughters, Johanna (Craig) Atkinson and Cynthia (Bernard) Fagan, and the late son, Anthony (Lorie) Sparacio. Cherished grandmother of Michelle (Scott), Jennifer (Brian), Denise (Jeannie), Wayne (Tina), Michael, and Anthony (Emily), and devoted great grandmother to her 10 great grandchildren.

Loretta was born in Manhattan, New York, NY to Carmella (née Aronica) and Gerald Christoforo on January 31st, 1924. She was employed at ShopRite in New Milford as the head of the meat department, then soon after, became a lunch aid at Lincoln School. Loretta was greatly involved with the Dumont senior citizens and will be remembered by the community for the relationships she has made.

Visitation will take place on Friday, December 15th, 2-6 PM, at Frech-McKnight Funeral Home, 161 Washington Ave, Dumont, NJ. The funeral will leave Friday, 6:30 PM for the celebration of her mass at St. Mary's Roman Catholic Church at 7 PM.

Burial will be on Saturday, December 16th, 10:15 AM at St. Raymond's Cemetery, 2600 Lafayette Ave, Bronx, NY. The cortege will depart at 9 AM from the funeral home.
