Loretta Fay Thirion, loving wife and mother, of Benton, Arkansas, formerly of Sheridan, died on February 16, 2024 at the age of 76. She was born on January 1, 1943 to the late Wanda McGarity Jones and Nathan J. McGarity in San Antonio, Texas.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband Charles Christian Thirion; and two brothers Gary McGarity and James McGarity Sr.
Loretta is survived by two sisters Roxie Belden and Linda Pollack and one brother Nathan McGarity. She is also survived by her three children Michael Thirion and wife Renee, Cheryel Holt and husband Jack, and Shane Thirion and wife Amy; 6 grandchildren Jessica Golden and husband Cole, Alexander Thirion and wife Stormie, Huntington Thirion, Kourtney Thirion, Caitlin Thirion, Hailey Grey and husband Joshua; one great-grandson Maddox Grey; nieces Stacey Cook (Dave), Ashley Jones (Matt), Madison Hill (Ronnie), Tamara McGarity, Regina Manderbint, Tara McGarity, Stephanie McGarity, Jodie McGarity, Leah Pollack; nephews Joshua McGarity Sr (Andy), Boyd Wayne McGarity (Letha), James McGarity, Pollack Taylor (Teema), Hayden Pollack (Srey); great-nieces and nephews Azalyn Jones, McGarity Jones, Gary Jones, Gus Fazen, Joshua McGarity Jr, Liam McGarity, Nathan McGarity, Nelly Taylor, Rachel McGarity, Caden McGarity, Logan McGarity; and a host of friends who will miss her dearly.
She will be cremated as per her wishes and interred at home in an urn until the family can gather to spread her ashes with her husband, Charles.
