Loretta E. Williams, 92, passed away peacefully on July 28, 2024, accompanied by her son Robert while watching her favorite TV show. Born on December 27, 1931, Loretta was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She was married to her beloved husband, love of her life and best friend Robert Clay Williams, for 69 years until his passing four years ago. Together, they built a life filled with love and shared many happy moments, including their favorite pastime of golf.
Loretta is survived by her two sons, Robert Mark Williams (Denise) and Kim Scott Williams (Lisa). She was a cherished grandmother to Gwendolyn Hernandez, Nicole Bieleski, and Weston Williams, and a proud great-grandmother to Austen, Jullian, Anika, Gabriel, Calan, Cameron, Harper, and Harlow.
Loretta was known for her boundless love and nurturing spirit. She was always there for her children and grandchildren, offering a listening ear, comforting words, and warm embraces. She cherished every minute with her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren, finding immense joy in their presence and lives. Loretta's home was a place of joy and warmth, where she often baked delicious treats and shared stories, especially during the holidays. A fond memory was how she would sing to the kids when they were little, accompanied by Grandpa's whistles and hums, filling the home with sweet music and creating cherished memories that lasted a lifetime.
Loretta had a true passion for gardening, baking, drawing, and fitness, which she enjoyed throughout her life. She delighted in sharing her hobbies with those she loved, whether it was tending to her garden, preparing a special meal, or involving her family in creative activities. Her enthusiasm for her interests was evident, and she found joy in teaching and including her loved ones in her pursuits. Loretta's dedication to her family and friends was reflected in the way she lived her life-always putting others first and sharing her love generously.
A Funeral service will be held on Saturday, August 17, 2024 at Lynch & Sons Funeral Home, 404 E. Liberty St., Milford 48381 at 12:30p. Gathering will begin at 10:30a until the time of service. Burial will follow at Milford Memorial Cemetery immediately following.
