Lori A. Arens, age 67, of Austin, Minnesota, passed away on Tuesday, August 20, 2024, at Mayo Clinic Health System Austin. Lori Ann Wiedemann was born July 3, 1957, to Robert and Phyllis (Haynes) Wiedemann. She graduated from Austin High School and continued her education at Riverland Community College, where she received her LPN degree. During her college years, Lori worked at Burr Oak Manner and then devoted 25 years of her career to Adams Health Care Center. She was a faithful member of Grace Lutheran Church in Austin. Lori had a heart of gold, always ready to lend a helping hand to anyone in need, especially her beloved family. She found joy in fishing trips with her family at Big Lake in Ely, Minnesota and had a passion for collecting rocks and angels. Her selfless nature and caring ways will be dearly missed by all who were blessed to have her in their lives.

Survivors include her mother, Phyllis Wiedemann; sons, Jeremy, Robert (Anna), and Steve (Kari); 14 grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; one brother; four sisters; nieces, nephews, and friends. She was preceded in death by her father, Robert Wiedemann; great-grandson, Jasper Conner; and sister, Catherine.

A funeral service for Lori will be held at 12:00 (noon) on Tuesday, August 27, 2024, at Grace Lutheran Church in Austin. The visitation will take place from 10:00-12:00 p.m. prior to the service at the church. Interment will be held at a later date in Grandview Cemetery, Austin. Memorials are preferred to Grace Lutheran Church in Austin. Worlein-Hoff Funeral Homes are assisting the family with arrangements.
