Lori Jenean Holton Gibson was born May 26, 1964 in West Monroe, LA to JW and June Holton and departed from this earth on July 4th, 2025.

She is preceded in death by her loving parents, JW and June Holton; brother, Jay Holton; and numerous loved grandparents, aunts, uncles and cousins.

She is survived by her husband of 41 years, Larry; son, Jeff (Whitney) Gibson of Coushatta, daughters, Julie (Nick) Crain of Natchitotches, Sarah (Tonio) Gibson of Delhi, grandchildren: Everett (Rett) Crain, Aaron Puckett, Natalee Gibson, JW Gibson, Amaree Gibson and Allison (Alli) Grace Gibson. She also leaves behind a brother Eric (Kristi) Holton of West Monroe, special sister in law Ann Holton of West Monroe, and special brother in law Ken Gibson of Delhi, along with numerous nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. Above all else, she loved her Lord with all her heart. That love guided everything she did. She cherished her family and friends deeply, holding them close with a warmth and loyalty that never wavered.

Her and Larry have shared a long life of love and commitment to each other. Still, after 41 years, their faces instantly brightened at the sight of each other. You didn't often see one without the other. They were soulmates in this life and blessed by God to have been made for each other.

Over the last 10 years, she's gained 6 grandchildren. She loved each and every one of them with all her heart and cherished each moment she had to spend with them. They would always be the ones she held closest - her greatest pride and joy.

She has been a member of Lakeside Baptist church for 17 years where she served as pianist while Larry led singing. As a true church should be, they're her family, too. She has lived her life as a testament of a Godly woman.

Whether at the Delhi Clinic, where she cared deeply for her coworkers, or at Depot Marketplace, where she and Larry poured love into every person who walked through the door, her heart for others shone in all she did.

Though there is an emptiness left in the hearts of those she leaves behind, we take comfort in knowing she is now whole - rejoicing in perfect peace. Her legacy of love is undeniable, made beautifully clear in these past few weeks as she bravely battled Guillian-Barre Syndrome. The outpouring of love and support had been overwhelming, but in the most beautiful way. She didn't lose the fight - she won it. She is now in the presence of her Lord.
